Buzzards Roost Campground

Buzzard’s Roost Campground is our favorite camping area on the lake.  There are plenty of lakeside RV sites and tent sites in this camping area.  Most of the sites have trees so there is shade.  And there are beautiful views of the lake and Tucker Tower from this area.

Buzzard’s Roost is located on the southwest end of the lake just south of Lake Murray Marina.  This is one of the most popular camping areas on the lake and is typically open year round.

All camping reservations should be made online at the TravelOK website.

You should always contact the park directly before driving long distances to check camping availability.

Please be aware there are daily parking fees now required throughout Lake Murray State Park.  These fees start at $10 per vehicle per day.  You can find more information on the parking fees on the TravelOK.com website.

We love this campground.  If we are camping at Lake Murray, this is typically our first choice.  Although there are some other beautiful campgrounds on the lake as well.
